Toddler Valentine’s Day Activities
Chocolate, conversation hearts, lollipops. Sugar, sugar, sugar overload! Before the thought of boys and girls liking each other comes into the picture, Valentine’s Day was all about the sweets and the cute cards we would give our classmates.
Here are 5 Valentine’s Day activities to enjoy with your toddlers. Well, four toddler Valentine’s Day activities and one toddler Valentine’s Day gift idea.
VALENTINE’S DAY CARD
Pull out the construction paper, markers and Valentine's Day stickers and let the kids get creative. I really like this sticker book because it’s perfect for boys and girls and you can use it for any other arts and crafts activities. Helping your toddler make a Valentine’s Day card for a little friend, parent, sibling or grandparent is a cute and fun way to help teach your toddler about kindness and expressing love to others.
Want your toddler’s Valentine’s Day card creation to be a little different, maybe more fun -and messier? Bring out the paper and water paint or oil pastels and let them get creative. I’d say the bigger the sheets, the more fun for them and for yourself! Uhh yeah, I am for sure joining in on the fun and creating my own masterpiece for them.
VALENTINE’S DAY BAKED COOKIES
Warm, freshly baked Valentine’s Day cookies. Doesn’t get much better than that! Have your toddlers help out by having them be in charge of the cookie cutters and then have some fun together decorating the cookies together.
VALENTINE’S DAY GOODIE BAG
Ok, so this one is not an activity but surprising your toddler with a Valentine’s Day present will make their day. A box of chocolates and a book like “llama llama i love you” from the Llama Llama collection is a cute little way of making your toddler’s Valentine’s Day a little sweeter.
Your toddler might still be too little to understand the idea of a date but having a toddler-approved Valentine’s Day date will be fun for the both of you. A fun trip to the ice-cream store and letting them actually pick their toppings is a sure way to making your toddler’s Valentine’s Day that much sweeter.
