Lemon-Inspired Kitchen: Small Spaces

Living in a New York apartment, rental on top of that, usually doesn’t leave you with many options for decorating and changing things up. Every season though, I like to inexpensively switch up a few pieces so with summer I decided to go for a pop of color in the kitchen with a little lemon-inspiration for right around $50., except for the dish rack that I added at the end and is a must for small kitchen spaces!

YELLOW PAPER STRAWS

We use metal straws at home but these yellow paper straws were just too cute to not add in to the mix. Plus, since it’s summertime we’ll just use them for when we have our little weekend picnics.

LEMON RUG

Perfectly thick and comfy on your feet, I love this lemon rug! We don’t wear sneakers inside the house so the fear of it getting dirty too fast isn’t an issue for us.

ROUND PLACEMATS

These yellow placemats not only add the perfect pop of color to the table but they’re also super easy to clean which is a must for me with two kids.

LEMON SUGAR BOWL

I didn’t want to go overboard with lemons so along with the rug, this lemon sugar bowl is the only other lemon piece I added to the kitchen. Once we do our supermarket run, I'll also add a few actual lemons into the mix.

YELLOW KITCHEN TOWELS

The ones I purchased are temporarily sold out but you can check back to see if they’ve been restocked. If your impatient like me, you can always just go for another set of yellow kitchen towels you like.

two-TIER DISH DRYING RACK

If you have a small kitchen, you know how important countertop space is so I decided to get rid of my bulky dish rack for this sleek two-tiered dish drying rack and I love it! Holds just as much while taking less than half the space.

And there you go, an inexpensive way to give your kitchen a pop of color this summer with a few lemon-inspired pieces.
