Toy Story Family Halloween Recap!
Hope you had a Happy Halloween and are enjoying all the candy without the crazy sugar high’s. And don’t even dare say you don’t share the kids chocolates because we all know you do!
Family themed halloween costumes are a go for as long as the kids allow it so this year was another fun one for us but not before a failed attempt. After looking through Pinterest and Spirit Halloween for inspiration for at least an hour, after the babies had gone to bed, I thought I had found the perfect costumes with a little twist. Since Jade is Argenis’ twin, they would be Thing 1 and Thing 2 and Achilles’ being my little twin (nobody better tell me differently) we were going to be Dr. Seuss and Mama Seuss. I almost laughed at Argenis reaction as soon as he tried on his Thing 1 costume and although I lied and said it didn’t look bad, truth is it was hideous! So two days later, costumes were returned and we were back at square one.
And then tada! Woody and Jessie had babies! Well, they really didn't but since Toy Story hasn’t decided to give us that, Argenis and I decided we would. Argenis and I would be Woody and Jessie, of course, and Achilles and Jade would be our mini’s! As soon as Achilles’ realized we were all dressed alike, his night was made but getting free candy was beyond unbelievable for him. So much so that he wanted to stay in the first couple of houses every time they added candies to his basket.
Then they started worrying (hence the serious faces) BECAUSE THEY WERE CONVINCED THE DINOSAUR ACROSS THE STREET WAS TRYING TO EAT THEIR CANDY!
After trick or treating around Bay Ridge, we went to Owl’s Head Park Annual Haunted Halloween Walk to end the night. The kids survived all the spooky costumes with out a tear and adding all the fun we had, I’d say our family Toy Story halloween was a total hit! Now, what will dress up as next year…?
